GEL played a critical role in obtaining the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ approval for Boeing to move forward with expansion plans on 468 acres adjacent to Boeing’s existing 787 manufacturing operations at the Charleston International Airport. 

GEL’s technical professionals provided sampling of wastewater streams from processes and byproducts associated with steam electric power generation, including flue gas desulfurization (FGD), fly ash, bottom ash, flue gas mercury control, and gasification of fuels such as coal and petroleum coke.

GEL’s surveys and photographs are being used to evaluate erosion/accretion values as well as potential impacts associated with the beach renourishment and terminal groin project.

GEL’s comprehensive environmental services and stakeholder outreach were instrumental in restoring the critical waterways and marinas of Sea Pines Plantation to a navigable condition.

Patriots Point commissioned GEL to develop a tool that would allow them to more effectively and efficiently manage maintenance on the Yorktown.  Although typically used for land parcels, GEL innovatively used a GIS database to capture the ship’s compartments.

GEL assisted Odfjell Terminals with the design, permitting and construction of their second marine terminal in the United States. 

GEL provided all site environmental, permitting, civil design, and contractor oversite to help the Town of Edisto Beach transform an unused Brownfield site into a valuable asset to the community.
